At this detached house in Zehlendorf, moisture had been penetrating the external basement wall for years. We excavated down to the top of the foundation, cleaned and repaired the substrate and applied full-surface waterproofing. Over it sits a dimpled membrane as a protective and drainage layer, completed at the base by a perimeter drain in a gravel bed with filter fleece. The steps and planting were documented and reinstated after backfilling.
